Wealth, beauty, or any accomplishment cannot substitute or compensate the only decoration - Sindhoor - considered to have been bestowed on a woman by God-in the form of the life's partner. That is why a woman yearns for it, achieves it, preserves it and is proud of it. A woman can barter anything but can she give away her Sindhoor for any material pleasure?
"Maang Bharo Sajana" is the story of two remarkable women, who loved the same man with equal dedication but when it comes to the question of priority - one lady prepares to share her Sindhoor, as also her husband with the other, while the other is so possessive that she chooses to die as a wedded wife of the man. This is the saga of love and sacrifice, dedication and benediction of tears and smiles.
